About Me

My name is Martha and I am the creator behind The Golden Polka Dot. I grew up sewing, designing, and creating. I would draw up an image and my mother would sew it for me. I had so many fond memories linked to sewing during my childhood. After having my own baby a year ago my passion for sewing and creating blossomed. I decided to open my own shop so I could share my talents, and also provide hand made accessories at a reasonable price. I've personally made most of my patterns and love hand making baby accessories!

I was born and raised in Canada, met my sweetheart on a blind date in Idaho when I was only 17 years old. After 14 months of dating we got married, moved all over the United States for years before settling in Utah and having a little girl. Now we spend our evenings playing lots of tag, and peek-a-boo. Then working on our shop when our little bug goes to bed.
